Dan Symons: Production, Programming, Lead and Backing Vocals, Trombone,
Artificial Colours are influenced from an eclectic range of genres including, Alternative, Electronic, DarkWave, NewWave, Synth Pop Metal, Hip Hop and more. Their sound is described by the duo as "Ghost Pop, Ghost Wave ".
The Artificial Colours release Called Revisited is a collection of older material that has been reworked, remixed, and remastered with the addition of a new single called Cliche and a twisted Intro (prologue) track called Mr Sad's Castle.
The release dropped on 30th June 2023 and it explores themes of social media manipulation, relationships, being controlled by cults as well as Dan's experiences as a musician on a cruise liner. Sonically, Revisited is referred to as 'Ghost Pop' and takes on a number of influences from New Wave, Darkwave, Cinematic Scores, Alternative, Prog Rock, Metal, Electronica.
